Our very own BIG BAD WOLF!

Leaf Pictures

Waylon wanted to take the pictures not be IN them!

A cowboy and Bob the Builder for playgroup Halloween party

I'll huff and I'll Puff........
Ash's redneck method of keeping a fire lit!
And then they had to try too, got more spit than air on the fire I think!

Well, I baked an apple pie for Gerald and Ash got to use his tractor to pick up leaves! A great bargain! Saved a LOT of raking, for which I was very glad! For some reason its always been ME that had to rake. Now they are burnt, burning actually for the third day. The kids had great fun watching the fire. Waylon thought we should have hotdogs and marshmallows by the fire but it got too dark and he was happy to come in. Would've been GROSS hotdogs over more smoke than fire. Give us a little lung cancer maybe!
The boys had a halloween party last Friday and since Zane wouldnt put on his dragon costume he got to wear coveralls and a hard hat instead and be Bob the Builder. Or something like him. He was so happy and thought he was so cool! Didnt much want anyone else to touch his hard hat tho!
I took some fall leaf pictures of the boys but they never cooperate so....
Zane got his 18 mo needles this morning and he freaked on the nurse when she looked at him and when I tried to take his coat off to be weighed. She was like "oh, does he do this all the time?" YES.. sigh! She thought the needles would be a real fight but he had calmed himself by then and just whimpered a little!
Aunty Alyson heard him squawk today and thought he was a troll, not a boy! Not sure if this just a stage or if he really just has a serious attitude problem! Either way it will be nice when it PASSES! in the meantime he is napping and all is peaceful!
Had a wreck with my washing machine pump out on Sat and now its working loverly! So happy to be able to do laundry even if I have to wear shoes over there on the squishy carpet! Other than the black mold that was growing on the pump! DISGUSTING! Now I will have to get a little bleach happy and discourage any more germ growth! OR.... add on and build a PROPER septic system. Now THERE'S a GREAT IDEA! I wish!

Our busy month

The BIG truck in Sparwood!Feeding/Chasing Gramma's ducks.
Check out how brave they are!
Halfway up Kobau Mtn.
Family Picture from the top.

Well, I cant believe its almost the end of Oct. We must've been busy for me to not update! Actually we did have a very busy month. The boys and I went to Tyson and Lori Good's for thanksgiving dinner. Grampa and Gramma were there and it was nice to see everyone and play for a while. Thanks Lori for inviting us.

On the 10th we left for Gramma Zena's in Osoyoos, BC. We went as far as Pincher Creek and all had to squish into the last hotel room with only a double bed. We actually managed a sleep of some sort! We were so happy to get on the road the next day and the boys were so fascinated by the scenery that we were wondering WHY we hadnt gone for 3 years.... Well.... by hour 7 we were very much aware!!

We stopped to see the big truck in Sparwood but not for very long as it was really cold.

Gramma was glad to have us and we were very glad to see her too! Waylon helped her feed the ducks and then went and scared them away! They came back as soon as he left tho knowing that he wasnt normal in their lives!

The boys were very interested to see Gramma's bears and coyote and caribou that she has stuffed. That was the only wildlife we saw so thank goodness!!

Gramma babysat for us one day so we could go across the line and see what deals they DONT have with the dollar being high. Waylon entertained her with all kinds of stories for the entire time we were gone and Zane made her snuggle with him when he woke up from his nap! He can be a suck sometimes!

We climbed Kobau mtn with Gramma and had a little picnic. We went up there with Grampa six years ago too.

The boys made playdough with Auntie Rae and were happy to make a nice big mess for her and since they cant possibly share she had to make some for both boys! Zane really took a liking to Auntie Rae. Maybe because she had a "phone" for him to pretend with or cause she acted silly and kept him entertained. Either way we're glad the boys could see them too.

Zane got a fever Sat nite and has been sick for a week since. I thought it was eye teeth but somehow I'm sick too! Guess I was wrong and we are NOT enjoying the sickness in our house. Hopefully we will be better tomorrow. Ive been saying that all week!

Today would've been Bryer's 2nd birthday. So we are thinking of Auntie Alyson and Uncle Jarvis and Daudi lots this week. And Daudi is getting so big and cute! And I think he will be definitely saying more than his cousin Zane before long! Waylon talked to him on the phone this morning. Not sure who made the most sense!!

HE TALKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He grunts, and points and screeches and hollers and BITES and laughs and hits and giggles and FINALLY....................................................ZANE TALKED!!
He said "UHHH OHHH!!
His first semi-sentence that he actually knows what he's saying!!
Just had to announce that the seemingly never happening has happened!

Harvest Pictures

We're home again! Harvest is over and we can spend time together again! Or rake the leaves in the yard! Whichever is more important I guess! I tried to take some pictures of the boys in the grain pile for their 3 1/2 and 18mos landmarks but as usual they were not overly happy and cooperative and the only way I could get Zane to walk by himself was to give hime a ladybug so altho he's not looking at the camera I think they're not too bad.

Now at 18mos he cant talk but can get anything across by grunts and pointing! With the rate Waylon talks we aren't too sure we even WANT him to start anytime soon! He's also developed a nasty little habit of biting! Had a few big fights with Waylon And he usually wins when the teeth start showing! They do get along occasionally and Zane likes to see if he can get Waylon riled which makes his day all the more fun!

Favorite Cousins!

Zane, Cody and Waylon

The semi Ash was driving and the pile they were building! There was another full day and a half on top of this pile after I took the picture! It was pretty BIG!
Waylon was watching the truck empty and thought climbing up and down was pretty fasicnating!
