The Story of August...

Well its now the 31st of August! Summer is officially over since Waylon went to Grade 1 today! We had a busy summer it seems doing not much of anything! Amazing how that works. I read a thing in a magazine this summer that said "You know you're desperate for school when you break down and call your M-I-L for a break!" And that is exactly what happened here!! Altho it wasnt as bad as it sounds!! Ash called his mom and asked if the boys could come visit for a few days. It was GREAT! All 3 of them went from Sunday to Thurs and they had a wonderful time! SO DID I! Ash had to work late nearly the WHOLE time they were goneso he didnt get much of a break, but it was more for me anyway! The boys were home for a week and then we went back to Flaxcombe to celebrate Wes & Judy's 40th anniversary. We had just a small party and it was very fun. Laughed lots and played lots and ate too much, but we were tired and ready to come home! Sadly for the sister-in-laws, baby didnt arrive! They were so sure they'd get to try out a home birth=) And were quite confident knowing that SHANE has all the first-responder training! Until I informed them that UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES would my brother-in-law be present!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we made it this far all fine and dandy and NO BABY!
We had a few nice/windy days at the lake here and there and was fun to be able to go out to our friends' campsites and then come home to our own beds=)
Ash went combining this past weekend in Sk, and would REALLY like to go again but the next days off are 4 days B4 baby is due and considering he'd be 3 hours away, I really think he should STAY HOME, JUST IN CASE=)
This morning we dropped Waylon off for GRADE 1! Cant believe he's that big already! And still sneaking into MY bed! Last night was an exception tho, since I figured he was probably nervous! But its like sleeping with an ADULT, he's SO BIG! And so the fun begins, as of today we are a full-time school house! Zane starts preschool next week and for some reason it makes me more teary to think HE'LL be in school next yr! He just seems so little. But he's babysitting Trey as I update this and being the BIG brother=)
So maybe the next time I get around to updating it'll be all about our NEW BABY!

This is my favorite thing to watch my kids do! Especially at this age! Their little minds and imaginations are SO fascinating!The Becker Grandkids!

Trey's new thing! He was "helping" Zane come to tell me he was hurt! Such the loving little brother! Except it was also him that beaned Zane with a stick or something! And I seen him trying to hold the girls' hands at mtg but they're all scared of him cause he's always been so mean!!

So this is the video that I tried to share thru email and it wouldnt work! Since I've stirred up the curiosity of some I thought I better share!! The fish got away (OF COURSE) but they said it woulda been up to Zane's chin! (I stayed home to nap, as the Jeep is TOO rough)

Can't believe July is OVEr!!!

So, another month is gone already! We had convention, company, more company, more conv., a few lake days and a campout in the yard in July! And the month flew by! Here's the month in Pictures:

Our SPECIAL company the day after conv! Gramma Zena stayed overnite and Uncle Frank picked her up to go to Dids 1! We were so glad they stopped to see us!
Ohya, that same night Phil & Renita & all their girls & Haze stopped in too! So nice to get to see them for a few minutes, and to give myself a lesson in NEEDING to just POP in to see people on the way BY! Life is short, quit being so BUSY!

Got to pick up Uncle Jarvis, Aunty Alyson, Daudi & Adair at the Calgary Airport and spend their first tired night in Canada with them at Tyson & Lori`s!

This is Trey sharing his snacks with Adair! He held them above his head and then stuffed his cheeks like a chipmunk! We have decided that he is going to get a NASTY surprise come Sept. when he finds out he`s NOT the baby anymore!!

The boys and I went to Dids 2 for Sat nite! This is where Zane slept! UNDER the bunk! But he had a good sleep regardless and was still there when Adair & Daudi came to peek at him in the morning!

We set up the DANGER ZONE in the yard this weekend! A rather large pool! The kids are having fun and even Trey got in for a bit, but it scares me to death and is comin DOWN when Ash goes back to work!!

This was the BEST campsite for the Aug long weekend! The lake was FULL as of TUES! So we came home and camped in the yard! It was great! I got the house to myself and they got to camp! Plus it was only 20 min to the lake, there was thunderstorm warnings all weekend anyway and a pool in the backyard! And that`s the end of July!
