Well, its been a whole long time, so much for updating regularly!
So just a quick, what-we've-been-doing!
January: wouldn't you know it, I cant remember!! I'm sure we musta did something, but just what I have no idea!
February: It was our 11th anniversary this year! WOW! So Ash & I went ski-dooing for the day with Josh & Glenda. It was a fun day, however, I have given up ski-dooing in the mountains. I'm pretty sure its a "man" sport. I am a wuss, and prefer nice, flat ground=) Unless Im on ski's. Then I'll be ok=) February also brought Waylon's 8th birthday. We were at Uncle Keith Olsen's funeral that day, so Gramma made cupcakes for him there, to celebrate with Aunty Joyce's new husband's 80th too. He also got a hockey party when we got home a couple days later. He already has everything under the sun so mostly he received $$, and lots of it. He was feeling rather lucky, until Zane's birthday in March when he got "stuff"! Guess they arent quite old enough to grasp the $ concept yet.
March: Ash & I took a weekend getaway to Banff with Sean & Lynette, and Danny & Cathy. We skiied a day at Sunshine and spent 2 nights away. I was missing the kids by the time we got home but they had a grand time with Gramma & Grampa. (Who, I think, were REALLY glad to see us). Zane turned 6 in March too. We had a gym party, and a pool party at the hotel with Peggie and her boys. And we also got to attend the wedding of Sorren and Tia Thue. We spent that weekend with "Aunty" Jenelle and "Uncle" Kent at their new house in Tribune Sk. I told the kids we were going to their house so they were all excited, and we left as soon as Waylon got home on the bus. We drove about 2 hrs when Waylon pipes up, "When are we going to get to Cochrane?" He sighed a LARGE SIGH when I informed him they had moved to Weyburn area! It was cute=)
April: We had an At home Easter and did nothing for the hoidays. Well, except for yard work! And I am feeling rather bad that we didnt take the kids away, since they've gotten bored more than once! Ash has been training a guy at work so he's really busy and cant come entertain us much! Today we are missing the 60th anniversary of Grampa Arvie & Gramma Levonne Thue=( And I feel terrible, but we were just there for Tia & Sorren's wedding and cannot attend everything. But we wish them a very special day and really are thinking of them lots! Which reminds me, the weekend of the wedding, we also spent a day at Gramma & Grampa's farm. The kids loved their little horses, sheep, goats, cows and chickens, and bales. Just being on the farm was very special for them.
And NOW: I have taken a picture of each of my wonderful children and will try to describe the stages they are at in their little lives. I love them all dearly but some days are truly a TRIAL, and I need to remind myself of How Much I Do Love Them!=)
This ^ is Dalys. She is 18months old. She still loves MOM best=) And she likes to be rocked to sleep and cuddle. She has attitude in abundance, but is also really sweet. She loves animals and being outside. She likes her brothers most of the time and will imitate them to make them laugh=)
This ^ is Zane. He's 6. His picture pretty much describes him at this stage! He likes to snuggle, and help whenever he can. He loves to ride his dirtbike, if anyone will watch! He is in Kindergarten and 1st year of piano. He loves littler kids and girls mostly. He fights with boys. His favorite word is "poophead" and therefore spends a lot of his time in trouble! =)
This ^ is Trey. He`s 3! That should be about all you need to know! =) He has moments when that sweet little boy that has always been Trey shows up! He loves choclate milk! Starts every single day asking for "chocy milk and a blanky". He has this eye raising expression that makes us all laugh! He even does it in his imaginary playing when he`s talking to himself! He loves to go anywhere Mom is NOT! He does like me, but thinks he`s a big kid without me I guess. He thinks he goes to school anywhere and everywhere. He only goes pee on `Thursday` if you ask him, when he last went! He likes to drive the arctic cat, but hates pedaling his bike! And this ^ is Waylon! He is 8. Smartest kid on earth, according to him! He aces Math at school, but neatness, not so much! He's always in a hurry to get done, and then he's bored! He's in Grade 2 and his 3rd year of piano. He loves school. He LOVES hockey. He is OBSESSED with Hockey! He is scared to go outside on his own! He imagines cougars and coyotes everywhere. Unless anyone, including Zane or Trey are with him, then he's fine! He likes to be goofy, and make Dalys and Trey laugh. He likes to help if he can, but usually gets distracted after 2 minutes. He loves to swim. He likes "track pants" not jeans! And he counts his money regularly and then needs to spend SOMETHING! He never knows what he wants, but if Zane has it, he probly needs it too! He kinda likes dogs! After about 2 days, he likes dogs! He listens good, most of the time, and if I yell loud enough=) He can drive anything! He carefully moves the vehicles around the driveway so there's more room to play.
These are our kids! Waylon, Zane, Trey & Dalys. They are a trial, but sorry, we wouldnt trade them or give them away for anything. And just when we consider giving up on them, they have an angel day or go to meeting with someone else and BE GOOD! And its all worth the fights in the end.
Hugs and Kisses to these wonderful kids! I will go spend the afternoon napping with them=0)
