Ash & Kelty & Co.: HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the wonderful dads out there! Hope your day was extra special! As for the Dad in this house, he musta been EXTRA good this yr cause the present bunny was EXTRA generous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought him a buddy seat for the quad 2 wks ago so he could take the boys mud-bogging and then we found him a good deal on a boat cover this week and TODAY: HE BOUGHT HIMSELF A REAL LIVE JEEP! (see the last pic!) So here's the public note to self: Mother's Day next year deserves a new kitchen!!!!!!!!!

This has been an exceptionally frustrating week it seems, in hindsight! Brought on myself I think! I wanted to make this wonderful cake, just because and instead of reading the recipe, just thought I needed fresh raspberries ( which it turns out, I didnt!) Anyways, I worked up the energy to take the kids to the Hat for a Costco shop on Tues. and wore myself right out! The rest of the week was shot! Then it started raining on Wed nite and continued until Friday night! We got over 4 inches!!! And we live in the desert! Never seen this much water here in my life!

So... depressed as we were with the weather, we decided to take a little trip to Great Falls and have a little overnight break! YEAH RIGHT! Its a 4 hour drive, 1/2 hour into it we heard: " Are we there yet?" And then had to wait 1 hour at the border! So it was a long journey! We arrived there at suppertime, and wouldnt you know it: 4 hotels were completely booked! We got a room but had to backtrack a bit! They were having baseball and soccer tournaments there! Plus weddings and Hog Market meetings! Anyways, after supper the kids just wanted to swim, so we did. Trey got a fever for some reason still unknown, and I was up half the night with him! Needless to say the BREAK, was anything but and I woke up TIRED Sat morning! And the nice deals we were going to find in the States, were non-existant! 3 whiney boys and a tired mom does NOT create a great shopping experience! So we left by 1pm! Trey slept for a while and then woke up and barfed all over himself and me! Got home, had another nap, woke up and barfed again! What a relaxing day! Today more than made up for all that! It was a wonderful Sunday and we had company for lunch, and a BIG nap! Love these kinda days! Might even be ready for the next week!

Oh the hightlight of my week! The boy Im babysitting Mon/Wed for my friend cut me some slack! He's 6 1/2. He told his mom Wed am that I really had a baby in my tummy. Did you know that mom? A real live baby. She was like, ummm, yeah, what did you think? He says "Oh, I just thought she was FAT!" What a kid!

Soccer star #2!

Zane's feat of the month! No training wheels! Took about 5 min and he can really giver!

watching the parade for the 2nd time because the coordinater didnt really have his stuff together and so we got "trapped" in the parking lot! Notice the Dodge driving the wrong way! The Chev was part of the parade and OF COURSE there would be those people that were gonna DIE if they had to WAIT! tsk, tsk

3rd Place Mutton Buster! Beat by 2 girls, 1 being his good friend from school so he didnt even care! He got the 2 ribbons just for competing too, as did Zane but mrs. organized-on-the-ball that I am, didnt take any pics of him!
